Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, business email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).

Business Data: Client details, invoice data, revenue records, bank statement uploads, and GST information you enter into the platform.

Billing and Payment Information: If you buy a paid plan, we collect your name and email address and, if you choose to provide them, your company name, GST number and billing address. We keep a record of each payment: the Razorpay order and payment IDs, the plan, amount, date, status and payment method type (for example UPI or netbanking). We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank account credentials. You enter those on Razorpay's secure checkout, and Razorpay handles them.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, login timestamps, and IP addresses - used to improve the Service and detect fraud.

Consent Record: When you accept these terms, we record the timestamp of your consent for compliance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the MoneyGence platform
• To generate GST-compliant invoices and financial reports on your behalf
• To process payments, activate your plan and keep billing records
• To send transactional emails (invoice delivery, verification, password reset, plan and billing notices)
• To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
• To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• bcrypt password hashing (never stored in plain text)
• Role-based access controls
• Regular security audits

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except:

• Payment Processing: Razorpay, which processes your plan payments and handles your card, UPI or bank details under its own privacy policy
• Email Delivery: ZeptoMail, for sending invoices, verification and billing notifications
• Hosting and Database: Supabase, which hosts our database in India (Mumbai region)
• Error Monitoring: Sentry, which receives diagnostic error reports that can include technical details such as the page, request and browser information
• Analytics and Marketing Measurement: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel, only with your consent (see Cookies and Analytics below)
• Service Providers: These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
• Legal Requirements: When required by Indian law, court order, or government authority
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice to users

5. GST Data

Invoice and GST data you generate on the platform belongs to you. We process it solely to provide the invoicing and reconciliation features.

We do not file returns or communicate with the GST portal on your behalf unless you explicitly use an integration that requires it.

6. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection law and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent (which will result in account termination)

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use session cookies to maintain your login state. These are essential and are always on.

With your consent, given through the cookie banner, we also use analytics and marketing-measurement tools on our website and app: Google Analytics (traffic and usage patterns), Microsoft Clarity (page usage, heatmaps and session replays) and the Meta Pixel (measuring the effectiveness of our marketing). These tools set their own cookies and can receive information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser details and your IP address. If you decline non-essential cookies, these tools do not run, and you can still use MoneyGence.

We have enabled Google Signals, which allows Google Analytics to associate visits with a visitor's Google Account if that visitor is signed in to a Google Account with Ads Personalization turned on, and to report aggregated demographic and interest data to us. You can control this through Ads Personalization in your Google Account settings. Data handled by Google, Microsoft and Meta is governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days unless retention is required by law. We keep billing and payment records for as long as tax, accounting and other applicable laws require, even after your account is deleted.

9. Children

MoneyGence is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email and in-app notice at least 15 days before any material changes take effect.
