Frequently asked questions

Questions about MoneyGence and Tally.

What carries over, what stays in Tally, and what changes.

Does MoneyGence replace Tally?
No. Tally can stay your book of record. MoneyGence adds a client-level view and invoicing workflow on top.
Can I import my Tally data?
Yes. MoneyGence has a Tally data import for historical data from TallyPrime exports in CSV, XLS or XLSX, and a ledger template for client-by-client history. Some raw exports may need arranging first.
Does MoneyGence work offline?
No. MoneyGence runs in the browser and needs an internet connection.
Is invoicing GST-compliant?
Yes. Invoices created in MoneyGence are GST-ready by default, including e-Invoicing (IRN generation) where applicable. Return filing stays with your CA and accounting tool.
Will my CA be fine with this?
Your CA keeps working in Tally as before. MoneyGence is a visibility layer, not a replacement for your books or filings.
What does it cost?
MoneyGence is free forever for your first 2 clients, with no credit card required. Paid plans are on the pricing page.
